Extra Credit: Watch Anne of Green Gables movie and bring a signed note from home and I will give you extra credit in Language Arts class.
Work on you Yellow Star project if you want to get a head start on it. It will be due on May 7th.
For Your Yellow Star Project
You must address 6 of the themes we discussed during the unit. Reminder: Compassion, Despair, Courage, Strength, Resourcefulness, Hope, Resilience
One of your triangles should address one of these themes about Irene Sendler One of your triangles should address one of these themes about Ann Fox from the Flynn Theater Show. One of your triangles could be about the Holocaust Museum VideoConference. The remainder of your triangles should be about the book Yellow Star by Jennifer Roy.
No theme can be repeated in a triangle. Each triangle should include at least three examples of where that theme occurred in the story.
The center of the star will be your personal reflection about the Holocaust. It could be a poem done from the perspective of someone who wishes to preserve Syvia's story and teach new generations about the despair and compassion of the Holocaust. This will be produced as a video.
Choices of how to accomplish these tasks are webpages, poster my walls, photo stories, or any other technology with teacher approval.
Good Luck.
In Poster My Wall: When saved, student posters in this project will appear here.
